Grounds Associate (Star Lake Camp Complex)

Responsibilities

• Affords assistance with the security of the site and equipment.
• Implements repairs as directed, in response to any health and safety violations.
• Ensures all safety guidelines are followed, including those directed by OSHA, The Salvation Army, industry standards, American Camp Association (ACA), State of New Jersey, and Dept. of Health.
• Maintains equipment in accordance with relevant regulations.
• Clears garbage from receptacles and ensures proper disposal.
• Keeps the dump area free from debris and in good condition.
• Assists with custodial maintenance projects as directed.
• Maintains and cleans benches, bridges, farm decks, porches, wood pathways, fire circle seats, and playground areas.
• Maintains and cleans picnic tables, benches, and garbage cans as directed.
• Maintains and clears roads of debris.
• Maintains and trims lawns.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of field-related maintenance, such as trees, lawns, shrubs, flowers, waterfronts, and trails.
• Familiarity with health and safety codes and guidelines.
• Ability to follow established safety procedures and perform physical tasks.
