Grounds and Facilities Technician

About the Role

As a Grounds and Facilities Technician, you’ll be the guardian of our park’s first impression. Your work will help ensure every guest is welcomed by clean, safe, and well-maintained grounds in every season. From manicuring lawns and maintaining pathways to supporting seasonal transitions and winter operations, you’ll help create the backdrop for unforgettable guest experiences year-round.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns and landscaped areas through mowing, trimming, planting, watering, leaf removal, and other seasonal groundskeeping activities
• Assist with seasonal grounds maintenance, including snow and ice removal, snow tubing hill preparation, and other winter operations as needed
• Keep walkways, seating areas, and entrances free of debris, litter, and hazards
• Assist with seasonal decorative displays to enhance SKYLAKE's visual appeal
• Perform minor repairs on groundskeeping tools and equipment
• Support the facilities team with special projects, such as preparing seasonal transitions and special events
• Respond promptly to guest or staff reports of hazards or maintenance needs
• Empty, clean, and maintain trash and recycling receptacles throughout the park

Requirements

• Interest in landscaping/groundskeeping; prior experience is a plus
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform minor equipment maintenance and repairs
• Physical stamina to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, remain active for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs
• A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with pride in keeping spaces clean and beautiful
• Strong teamwork skills and a friendly, approachable attitude toward guests
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
