Ground Vehicle Mechanic (Retrofits)

STS Technical Services is hiring a Ground Vehicle Mechanic in South Bend, Indiana. This role supports production and retrofit operations by diagnosing, repairing, modifying and upgrading defense light wheeled vehicles in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience, can work from technical drawings and service documentation, and is comfortable supporting vehicle rework, retrofit and production activities. Position Overview The Ground Vehicle Mechanic will diagnose and repair defense light wheeled vehicles while supporting modification, retrofit and production work. This position works closely with Production, Quality, Engineering and Materials teams to resolve build issues, complete vehicle rework and ensure finished units meet applicable specifications, quality standards and production requirements.
