Ground Support Equipment Mechanic

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cookordinate with the Vehicle Maintenance Foreman to set priorities of equipment repair.
• Perform assigned duties in a safe and timely manner.
• Report any suspected abuse of equipment to Vehicle Maintenance Foreman.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Computer experience.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
• A minimum of 1 year related experience and/or training is required.
• Experience in the repair of automotive and diesel engines, hydraulic and airbrake systems, single and multi-axle vehicles, transmissions, hydraulic systems for forklifts and man lifts and electrical systems is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility.
• The environmental characteristic for this position is an warehouse setting.
• Candidates should be able to adapt to a traditional business environment.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and comply with OSHA standards.
