Grooming Salon Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Grooming Salon Leader to lead and manage grooming salon operations and team members. You will deliver expert grooming services, foster a positive work environment, and drive salon performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations, optimize scheduling, manage inventory, and execute staffing plans
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise a team of entry-level trainees up to professional level grooming staff
• Create and manage efficient grooming schedules, monitor salon performance metrics, and implement strategies to drive growth
• Interact professionally with pet parents, provide exceptional customer service, and educate on grooming maintenance and home care practices
• Perform expert-level grooming services, operate grooming instruments, evaluate individual pet needs, and conduct quality checks
• Ensure the well-being and safety of pets, handle cleaning and maintenance tasks, and adhere to grooming policies and standards

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional grooming experience or completion of a technical grooming training program
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing a salon team
• High school diploma or equivalent, though not required
• Expert knowledge of various dog breeds, grooming requirements, and common health issues
• Proficiency in breed-specific cuts, styling techniques, and grooming standards
• Genuine passion for animals and continued career in pet grooming
• Results-driven focus on productivity, performance, growth, and improvement
• Attention to detail for accurate grooming services
• Ability to work full-time, including weekends, evenings, and holidays

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or GED
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Expert knowledge of grooming industry trends and best practices
• Decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Passion for animals and continued career in pet grooming
• Ability to handle pets of all sizes and temperaments with care and empathy
