Grooming Salon Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Grooming Salon Leader to lead and manage grooming salon operations and team members. You will deliver expert grooming services, foster a positive work environment, and drive salon performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations, ensure smooth workflows, optimize scheduling, manage inventory, and execute staffing plans
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise a team of entry-level trainees up to professional level grooming staff, providing coaching, feedback, training, and performance evaluations
• Create and manage efficient grooming schedules, monitor salon performance metrics, and develop action plans
• Collaborate with store management to achieve sales targets, implement strategies to grow the customer base, and boost profitability
• Interact professionally with pet parents, provide exceptional customer service, address grooming inquiries, and resolve questions or concerns
• Perform expert grooming services, operate grooming instruments, evaluate pet needs, educate pet parents on grooming maintenance, and ensure safety and quality standards
• Ensure a clean and safe grooming area, disinfect and sanitize tools, and perform daily and weekly cleaning duties
• Utilize grooming policies and standards to maintain salon quality and hold team members accountable for safety and quality

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional grooming experience or completion of a technical grooming training program
• Strong leadership skills, 1-2 years of salon management experience, or related field preferred
• High school diploma or GED, though not required
• Expert knowledge of various dog breeds, grooming requirements, common health issues, and behaviors
• Expert-level proficiency in breed-specific cuts, styling techniques, and grooming standards
• Genuine passion for animals with a desire to continue a career in pet grooming
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, focusing on productivity, performance, growth, and improvement
• Attention to detail, ensuring grooming services are accurate and meet high standards
• Ability to handle pets of all sizes and temperaments with care and empathy

• Full-time availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as needed by the Pet Care Center's grooming schedule

Pay

The salary range for this role is $15.00 - $28.00 hourly or salary, depending on factors such as position, location, level of experience, and applicable state or local minimum wage laws. Schedule
