Grooming Salon Manager

About the role

We're looking for a Grooming Salon Leader to lead and manage grooming salon operations and team members. You'll deliver expert grooming services, foster a positive work environment, and grow a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations, optimize scheduling, manage inventory, and execute staffing plans
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise a team of entry-level trainees up to professional level grooming staff
• Create and manage efficient grooming schedules, monitor salon performance metrics, and develop action plans
• Collaborate with store management to achieve sales targets and salon objectives, interact professionally with pet parents, and provide exceptional customer service
• Perform expert-level grooming services, educate pet parents on grooming maintenance, and ensure the well-being and safety of pets
• Utilize grooming policies and standards to maintain quality and consistency in grooming salon activities

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional grooming experience or completion of a technical grooming training program
• Strong leadership skills with previous salon management experience or related field
• Expert knowledge of various dog breeds, grooming requirements, and common health issues
• Genuine passion for animals and continued career in pet grooming
• Results-driven, attentive to detail, and capable of handling pets of all sizes and temperaments with care and empathy

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Expert-level proficiency in breed-specific cuts, styling techniques, and grooming standards
