Grocery Third Person

PURPOSE

Aids the Grocery Manager in overseeing the Grocery Department, assisting in managing staff and ensuring operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Champions customer service initiatives to meet divisional goals.
• Handles customer relations positively, resolving complaints effectively.
• Promotes Albertson's personalized service philosophy.
• Performs ordering, receiving, storing, pricing, stocking, and merchandising duties.
• Assists Grocery Manager in planning, organizing, and directing daily operations.
• Implements Company and Division merchandising policies and Store Director instructions.
• Might oversee cash registers in the absence of the Receiving Clerk.
• Engages in suggestive selling and sales techniques.
• Manages cash register detail tapes, handles money transactions, and implements price changes.
• Prepares "to do" lists for night stockers, closes out discontinued items, and controls shrinkage.
• Ensures compliance with Company policies, recommends corrective actions, and implements emergency procedures.
• Supervises store operations in the absence of the Store Director and Grocery Manager.
• Performs other necessary duties as assigned.

• Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, maneuver objects up to 80 lbs., and operate various equipment.

• Manual dexterity and good eye-hand coordination.
