About the role
We are looking for an Assistant Store Manager who is the right-hand to the Store Manager. You'll become well-trained to cover all aspects of store operations, achieve key performance and financial objectives, and perform directional and performance planning.
Responsibilities
- Assists with the management of all aspects of Store operations including customer service, store condition, and the selection, training, supervising, and performance management of Store Sales Associates
- Assists in unloading all merchandise from delivery trucks, organizing merchandise, and transferring merchandise from stockroom to store
- Collaborates with team members to ensure the store meets or exceeds the established merchandising standards for product quality, presentation, and visual marketing/merchandising
- Keeps up with reporting to support sales, earnings, and minimizing shrink
- Assumes full management responsibility in the absence of the Store Manager
Requirements
- Two (2) or more years of grocery or retail management experience
- Hands-on leadership experience in grocery retail (e.g. Produce, Deli/Bakery, or Meat/Seafood departments) is highly preferred but not required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs with frequent lifting above shoulder height
Schedule Availability
- Ability to work flexible, full-time schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Qualifications
- You must be 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma / Equivalent

- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
