About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Store Manager who is the right-hand to the Store Manager. You'll become well-trained to cover all aspects of store operations, achieve key performance and financial objectives, and perform directional and performance planning.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the management of all aspects of Store operations including customer service, store condition, and the selection, training, supervising, and performance management of Store Sales Associates
• Assists in unloading all merchandise from delivery trucks, organizing merchandise, and transferring merchandise from stockroom to store
• Collaborates with team members to ensure the store meets or exceeds the established merchandising standards for product quality, presentation, and visual marketing/merchandising
• Keeps up with reporting to support sales, earnings, and minimizing shrink
• Assumes full management responsibility in the absence of the Store Manager

Requirements

• Two (2) or more years of grocery or retail management experience
• Hands-on leadership experience in grocery retail (e.g. Produce, Deli/Bakery, or Meat/Seafood departments) is highly preferred but not required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs with frequent lifting above shoulder height

Schedule Availability

• Ability to work flexible, full-time schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

• You must be 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma / Equivalent

• Strong leadership skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
