Grocery Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all daily operations of the Grocery Department
• Drive sales through effective merchandising, in-stock conditions, and promotional execution
• Maintain department meeting financial goals including sales, margin, and shrink targets
• Ensure proper inventory levels through ordering, forecasting, and inventory control
• Oversee product quality, rotation, and compliance with freshness standards
• Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve customer concerns promptly
• Hire, train, develop, and coach team members to maximize performance
• Create and manage schedules to align labor with business needs
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and food safety standards
• Possess strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with Store Director and other department leaders to drive total store results

Qualifications

• Previous grocery or retail management experience preferred
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising principles
• Ability to analyze sales and performance metrics
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
