Responsibilities

  • Drafts and designs basic to intermediate building systems under minimal supervision.
  • Prepares system layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics.
  • Reviews shop drawings for compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Performs research and makes recommendations regarding system feasibility.
  • Evaluates products for suitability and provides technical guidance when necessary.
  • Collaborates on business development activities and attends client events.
  • Fosters a client-centric approach and communicates regularly with clients.
  • Maintains communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Visits job sites to assess conditions and monitor construction progress.
  • Assists in resolving conflicts between clients, architects, and contractors.
  • Identifies knowledge gaps and continuously improves industry and technical knowledge.
  • Supports project management tasks under supervision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, fire protection, or architectural).
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience or 6 years with a high school diploma and relevant experience.
  • Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam preferred.
  • Additional certifications and accreditations in relevant fields preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge and proficiency in engineering design, industry standards, and software (Revit, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Office).

Qualifications

  • Intermediate knowledge and proficiency in engineering design, A&E industry, codes, design guides, and standards.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu.
  • High technical aptitude and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Team-oriented and willing to collaborate in a dynamic environment.
  • Adaptable and able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and engineering design software.

  • Strong drafting and design skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledgeable in industry standards and regulations.
  • Proficient in Revit and Bluebeam Revu.

Schedule
