Grinder Production A - 2nd Shift (MTC)

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates internal, centerless, surface, external, thread and universal grinders for production, experimental, and tool work.
• Performs any type of difficult grinding work on any and all types of grinders.
• Grinds steps, tapers, recesses, shoulders, angles, contours and threads.
• Sets up truing devices on thread grinding for various types and forms of threads.
• Selects proper speeds, feeds, and wheels.
• Holds work to required tolerances.
• Sets up exacting fixtures, rests or blocks.
• Uses all types of grinders, machinists’ hand tools, precision measuring instruments.

Qualifications

• Three years of production grinding experience including setup.
• Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR/EAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee) due to handling of ITAR/EAR-controlled information.
