About the Role

Graco manufactures and markets premium equipment to move, measure, control, dispense and spray a wide variety of fluid and powder materials. This includes pumping peanut butter into jars, oil in cars, gluing shoe soles, windows, and phone screens, as well as spraying finishes on vehicles, coatings on pills, paint on houses, and texture on walls. Graco is part of your daily life.

This role involves safely operating grinding machinery to produce parts that meet Graco quality requirements at the lowest cost in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust grinder, including changing wheels, adjusting guide plates, and dressing the regulating wheel.
• Ensure parts produced conform to blueprint specifications, including in-process inspection.
• Read and understand operational layouts, job packets, and blueprint drawings, including geometric tolerancing.
• Provide accurate inventory counts and ensure proper use of the labor reporting system.
• Proactively problem-solve to improve product quality.
• Maintain a clean and safe workstation; report accidents or unsafe conditions to supervisors.
• Collaborate as a team member to achieve departmental goals for quality, productivity, efficiency, and customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of shop experience.
• PC skills, blueprint reading for machinists, math for machinists, or equivalent certifications (e.g., Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing III).
• Ability to read complicated drawings and use precision measuring instruments.
• Inspect own work to ensure conformance with specifications with limited technical assistance.
• Understanding of safety rules and regulations to prevent unsafe setups or operations.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; this role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship (e.g., H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT).

Pay

The base pay range for this position is $32.86 - $34.68 per hour, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation. The final hourly rate will be determined based on geographic location, skills, competencies, education, experience, and internal equity.
