Summary We are currently seeking a Portable Grinder to work 1st shift at our plant located in Cudahy, WI. 1st shift is Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm. Essential Functions Receives carbon, alloy and high-density steel stock requiring grinding. Checks metal surfaces for defects as directedOperates portable grinder, positioning wheel against metal surfaces to remove excess metal, fins, burrs, seams, defects, etc.Exercises care and judgment to avoid damaging contour of stockChanges grinding wheel for efficient operation. Uses hand tools as neededPlaces processed stock in proper container for further routingMaintains identity, i.e.: serial, heat codes, etc. Basic Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturingMinimum of 6 months' experience meeting production goalsMinimum of 6 months' forklift experienceMust be able to read and write in English.
