Grinder - 1st Shift Mon-Fri
About the role
The grinder operates the granulator machine, maintains cleanliness and sanitation, moves gaylords, and reports scrap regrind to the Production Manager.
Responsibilities
- Ensure quality regrind product by separating different polymers, labeling gaylords, removing handles and gaskets, and recording totals.
- Maintain granulator operation and report problems to Maintenance, Shift Supervisor, and QA Manager.
- Perform good housekeeping in the Grinder Room and Scrap Area.
- Operate manual pallet jack, sit-down forklift, and motorized pallet jack; become certified on forklift.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management; staff are informed and held accountable for food safety and regulatory responsibilities; notified of food safety issues; empowered to resolve issues.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED, or at least 1 years’ work experience in a relevant role.
- Understanding of Quality Assurance in a manufacturing environment.
- Detail-oriented, good communication skills, safety-minded, dependable.
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; operate forklift and pallet jack safely.
- Basic writing, reading, and math skills.
