Gridline Operator - 2nd Shift

Join the Manitowoc Ice team, a division of Pentair, where you’ll work alongside passionate problem-solvers committed to sustainable water solutions. This role involves operating the grid oven, washer, conveyor equipment, and tube bender while assembling partitions and evaporators in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate grid oven, washer, conveyor equipment, and tube bender within specified parameters.
• Assemble partitions and evaporators; inspect and perform minor repairs.
• Produce evaporators per safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
• Interpret and apply engineering drawings, instructions, and standards.
• Complete required paperwork and use a computer.
• Use various fixtures, hand tools, and measuring equipment in evaporator assembly.
• Operate a torch for solder repair.
• Lift and move tools, parts, and materials per prescribed methods.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2-3 years of experience in mechanical assembly in a physical manufacturing environment and equipment operations.
• Successfully complete grid line operations certification training within 2 months.
• Ability to read and use measuring equipment.
• Physical ability to regularly lift up to 41 lbs unassisted and maneuver fixtured evaporators up to 100 lbs unassisted.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
• Steel-toed shoes are required on the production floor.

Schedule

2nd shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Monday - Friday.

Pay

Starting hourly pay is $24.69/hr with the opportunity to earn $30+/hr within 12 months. Rate increases are available after proficiency in certain skills and completion of training.
