Grid Hardening Customer Project Coordinator (CPC)
About the role
Join our Asset Maintenance team supporting Grid Hardening and make a meaningful impact for Avista’s customers through upgrades of our electrical distribution system to strengthen reliability and reduce wildfire risk. As a Grid Hardening Customer Project Coordinator, you’ll be part of a highly collaborative team.
Responsibilities
- Design and coordinate solutions to upgrade existing infrastructure, including overhead and underground utility work, concentrating on high fire risk areas.
- Proactively reach out to customers, respond to customer inquiries, and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with customers, contractors, and internal teams to deliver safe, timely, and customer-focused solutions.
- Navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Maintain good community relations, maintain relationships with contacts in the utility industry and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- CPC I: High School diploma, GED, or Journeyman card required. 6+ months' relevant work experience related to GIS, planning, and/or designing construction of natural gas or electric facilities with an emphasis in customer service.
- Must have strong customer service skills. Demonstrated skills in cooperating in a team environment, negotiation, problem solving, construction management, and excellent communication skills is a must.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn computer applications for construction design.
- Requires valid driver's license and must be able to travel to job sites throughout Avista service territory.
- Strong working knowledge of key operation business process and core applications.
- Ability to interpret and explain complex business processes and concepts.
Qualifications
- CPC I: College Level Degree, Journeyman Card or equivalent education and experience. Three+ years work experience directly related to planning and designing of electric facilities with an emphasis in customer service.
Skills
A solid understanding of utility standards and relevant portions of the National Electric Safety Code (NESC) is needed.
Benefits
This position establishes and maintains good community relations, maintains relationships with contacts in the utility industry and internal stakeholders. Experience in electric utility design, project coordination and familiarity with overhead and underground distribution systems preferred.
Pay
Hiring Range: $77,595 to $141,339
Schedule
This position requires an in-person presence to support team and on-site responsibilities.
