Greeter/Host - Valle (Full Time)

Join award-winning Michelin-starred Chef Roberto Alcocer at Valle, a Guadalupe Valley Kitchen, as he draws on the traditions of Mexico’s renowned wine region and the bounty of local farms and seafood to create bold cuisine paired with a selection of Mexican wine. Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a warm welcome and seat them accordingly.
• Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently.
• Provide guests with menus and inform them of specials.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.
• Answer phone calls and take reservations.
• Collaborate with servers to ensure excellent guest service.
• Ensure the host stand is clean, organized, and stocked with all necessary materials.
• Confirm iPads are charged and ready for use.
• Ensure restaurant menus (dining, wine, and bar) are clean and in good condition; notify the GM if reprints are needed.
• Assist the bar with drink service and table cleaning.
• Take reservations for up to 20 covers.
• Know and enforce rules and policies regarding table configurations (e.g., combining tables).
• Understand and enforce policies related to children.
• Check and verify reservations for the following day.
• Notify staff of celebrity, influencer, or VIP reservations.
• Complete guest cards the night before with accurate information.
• Organize seating preferences based on guest requests (e.g., window or patio seating) and adjust service flow accordingly.
• Supervise guest comments and preferences in the guestbook for future visits, recording dining frequency.
• Roll silverware and polish glasses as needed.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience as a Host (preferably in a fine dining establishment).
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
• Experience with POS systems is a plus.
• Strong willingness to help others and provide exceptional guest service.
• Outstanding customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
• Refined verbal communication skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to handle difficult customer questions.
• Must be available Tuesday – Saturday.

Pay

$20.50 per hour.
