Grease Technician (Night Shift)

About the role
The Grease Technician operates a company service truck and drives to various locations to provide prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal for customers. Requires driving a MANUAL transmission (stick shift) truck with a Class A or B CDL.
Responsibilities
- Perform complete pre-trip inspection including but not limited to checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls
- Drive pump truck to and from customer sites and disposal areas
- Pump grease out of restaurants and other commercial tanks; clean/rinse tank with a water hose
- Read route sheets and service each customer as assigned by the dispatcher and/or supervisor; take notes on tickets with delivery/pick-up details
- Maintain vehicle operating efficiency by completing preventative maintenance requirements
- Maintain safe operation and clean appearance by complying with organization operational policies, procedures, and standards, as well as state and local driving rules and regulations
- Maintain delivery, vehicle, and driving records by obtaining receipt acknowledgments, recording tracking information, and completing driver log and vehicle performance forms
- Work continuously with dispatcher to confirm routes and update with any issues or changes
- Courteously interact with customers, supervisors, and fellow employees; submit all paperwork on a scheduled timeframe to dispatcher
- Wash exterior and interior of truck and cab, under frame, tires, and wheels
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- CDL Class A or B
- No manual transmission restrictions—must drive manual transmission trucks
- Safe driving record (DMV documentation required)
- Ability to read, understand, and adhere to the rules and regulations of the Federal Transit Administration and U.S. Department of Transportation
