GRCES Preschool Lunch Assistant Teacher for 26–27 school year

About the role

Grand Rapids Christian Elementary School (GRCES) at the Evergreen and Iroquois Campuses is seeking Preschool Lunch Assistant Teachers to assist teachers and children with lunch, transitions, rest time, and occasionally recess. This is a part-time, school-year, hourly position.

Schedule

Generally Monday–Friday between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. This position does not require working every day.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe environment and active supervision for students by following all licensing guidelines.
• Carry out routines to assist preschool teachers and children with lunch, transitions, and rest time.
• Coordinate with preschool teacher teammates.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Preferred experience working with young children.
• CPR/First Aid Certified (can be completed after employment).
• Complete and pass the state-required background check.
• Complete required, on-going trainings if offered the position.
• Able to sit on the floor with children and move around for long periods of time.
