Graphic Designer for Long Island Company

About the role

We are seeking a talented designer with an eye for detail to join our in-house design team and report primarily to the Creative Director. This is a very hands-on role for a smart, solution-seeking designer who looks at the big picture as well as the details. This position combines expertise in creative design, technical creative production and material selection. We seek someone with a great attitude who is willing to go above and beyond and grow alongside our business. You will participate in all phases of the design process from kick off – through product installation.

Responsibilities/ requirements

• Design and production for large-format graphics, signage systems, and environmental spaces.
• Strong understanding of graphic design and typography.
• Ability to package print ready assets for production.
• Ability to scale and size files accurately.
• Some knowledge of fabrication and installation methods.
• Ability to design for multiple projects simultaneously from inception to completion.
• Ability to interact with vendors, external personnel in a professional manner.

Desired qualifications

• MUST BE LOCATED OR WILLING TO COMMUTE INTO FREEPORT, NY DAILY
• Must have excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator etc) and interest in new technology, processes and developments
• Experience designing for large-format graphics, signage systems, and environmental applications
• Demonstrates core skills in graphic fundamentals, typography, and print.
• Familiar with Cad, SignAgent Pro, and rendering tools a plus
