Responsibilities
- Build concepts and execute the visual strategy for our brands across multiple consumer touchpoints, including packaging, promotional materials, visual communications, eCommerce, and social media.
- Ensure brand guidelines and directives are embraced consistently and creatively.
- Communicate and justify conceptual and directional design choices.
- Be accountable for excellent execution and understand the creative design process to bring ideas to life.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support business needs.
- Design for digital, packaging, and in-store displays with a basic understanding of print feasibility.
- Apply digital UX/UI design principles and use AI-enabled tools for quick prototypes, design iterations, and enhanced ideation.
- Interpret brand guidelines into digital UI for products, ensuring quality and consistency in UI deliverables (e.g., mockups, clickable prototypes, design systems, assets for development handoff, animations).
- Conduct UI research, including competitive analysis, A/B testing, and accessibility.
- Collaborate closely with Product Designers (UX) and software engineers to facilitate smooth handoff of assets and UI reviews of live code.
- Upskill in design leadership through team process initiatives, stakeholder communication, and establishing UI design practices.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Graphic Design or a similar field.
- 2-6 years of full-time design work experience (freelance work not included).
- A portfolio demonstrating mastery in design principles and brand identity, assessed on creative excellence, storytelling, independent ideation, problem-solving, and technical mastery.
- Passion for beauty, with an understanding of category trends and the competitive landscape.
- Keen eye and attention to detail, critical for success in the beauty category.
- Empathy and non-linear thinking to ideate consumer-centric solutions.
- Intermediate skills in UI design and mid-level knowledge of UI design principles, including design delivery and UI research.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to justify design choices with multi-functional partners.
- Comfortable giving and receiving feedback in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to engage and influence across functional teams.
- Superior time and project management skills, with the ability to set priorities and be accountable.
Skills
- Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat).
- Expertise in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Creativity and artistic skills with a strong grasp of design principles and typography.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in execution.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
