Graphic Designer
6-month maximum contract position available in Minneapolis, MN; Milwaukee, WI; Boston, MA; Washington, DC; San Francisco, CA; or Santa Monica, CA.
About the role
HGA is seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our Brand & Design team during an exciting firmwide brand refresh. This role will play a key part in bringing our new visual identity to life by creating and evolving branded templates, transforming existing marketing assets, and developing new materials used across the firm. You'll translate our new brand standards into scalable, easy-to-use templates and tools in Adobe InDesign, Microsoft PowerPoint, Canva, and Word. You'll help ensure our visual identity is applied consistently across proposals, presentations, brochures, and other marketing materials while building systems that empower teams to create on-brand content with confidence.

Responsibilities
- Create and maintain branded templates in Adobe InDesign, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Canva.
- Translate our new brand standards into scalable templates, design systems, and reusable assets.
- Update and redesign existing marketing collateral to align with our new visual identity.
- Design proposals, presentations, brochures, project sheets, infographics, social media graphics, digital templates, and other branded marketing materials.
- Help drive the successful rollout and adoption of our new brand across the firm.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3–5+ years of professional graphic design experience, ideally in a corporate or professional services environment.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe InDesign (master pages, styles, libraries, and long-document templates) and Microsoft PowerPoint (slide masters, layouts, themes, and template development).
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, and Acrobat; experience with Canva and Microsoft Excel is a plus.
- Strong understanding of typography, layout, production design, and visual hierarchy.
- Experience interpreting brand guidelines and translating them into intuitive, scalable templates and design systems.
- A strong portfolio showcasing template development, brand systems, and marketing collateral.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative team player who communicates well, embraces feedback, and enjoys working with others to deliver exceptional results.

Pay
Salary Range: $67,300 - $85,900 (Mid-West) or $73,700 - $94,000 (East and West Coast) depending on qualifications and experience. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements, and/or skill level.
Schedule
Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible for benefits. Hybrid schedule with three days a week in the office.
