About the role
The Program Control Office oversees Foundation GEOINT (FG) corporate business and technology activities supporting aeronautical, maritime, geography and geomatics missions. SFC’s functions include the following:
- Perform strategic workforce planning coordination.
- Perform corporate communications planning and execution for SF.
- Monitor manpower and career service requirements.
- Cook up new technology capabilities and requirements.
- Lead enterprise data management for SF.
- Develop and promulgate data standards, product standards and content guidance for FG.
- Oversee space, Information Technology (IT) systems/devices and software.
- Provide senior level staff support.
- Oversee taskers and awards.
- Create and revise technical documents to include NGA manuals, reports, brochures or articles.
- Writes and edits technical documents including reference manuals and product manuals.
- Responsible for determining the type of publication that will best serve the project requirements.
- Engages with NGA engineers, programmers, and project managers to learn about specific products or processes.
- Affirms the audience needs for whom the technical and procedural documentation is intended; adjusts tone and technical terms used to meet those needs and to ensure understanding.
- Plans writing processes and sets timelines and deadlines.
- Creates or works with graphic designers to create diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to assist readers in understanding a product or process.
Responsibilities
Your Duties:
- Develop and coordinate graphics to support the execution of communications and marketing plans for SF.
- Support the communications program with graphic arts support for SF web presence.
- Responsible for crafting/providing briefings and helping other members of SF.
- Afford assistance in maintaining SF websites and SharePoint.
- Review marketing material for design flaws, grammatical errors, and enforce layout consistency.
- Coordinate with external entities to ensure we obtain information from all relevant sources.
- Plan, design, administer, standardize, coordinate, and deliver graphics that support the business process of SF.
- Craft/provide briefings and assist other members of the SF Communications Team.
Requirements
Required Skills and Experience:
- Top Secret SCI (TS/SCI) Security Clearance US Citizenship.
- Demonstrated experience with the Adobe Creative Suite with emphasis in applications such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Demonstrated experience with presentations, interpersonal skills, and written communication skills to support a project management office.
- Demonstrated experience with the printing production process.
- Demonstrated experience with communicating with print and production vendors.
- Demonstrated experience with the US Intelligence Community and Web Support.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a project.
- Demonstrated experience to prioritize and satisfy multiple requirements on time, in an environment where requirements frequently change.
- Demonstrated project management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects with short deadlines.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Adobe InDesign.
- Demonstrated experience to work independently or with little supervision.
- Demonstrated advance customer service and representational skills.
- Demonstrated advance written communication skills to support project execution.
- Demonstrated advance attention to detail; solid skills in proofreading and editing.
