About the role
The Grants Technician I position plays a crucial role in managing grant applications and ensuring compliance with federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential grants that align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Prepare and submit grant applications, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.
- Monitor and report on the status of submitted grants, including tracking deadlines and award notifications.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with federal regulations and reporting requirements.
- Manage grant files and maintain records of all correspondence related to grant activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (economics, public policy, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in grant management or related field.
- Strong knowledge of federal grant programs and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
Qualifications
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
- Experience with database management systems.
- Knowledge of grant writing best practices and strategies.
