Grants & Finance Project Specialist

About the role

As a Partner in Wellbeing, the Grant and Finance Project Specialist thrives in an environment focused on building relationships, solving problems, and contributing to the future growth of Alluma. This role prepares and monitors grant budgets and expenditures, coordinates with grant administrators for efficient management of outside funding, and ensures compliance with company internal controls and government regulations. The Specialist plans, directs, and coordinates financial projects to drive efficiency and sustainability by organizing and guiding team members to deliver timely and quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Grant Management (65%)
  • Manage a pipeline of current and prospective grant funds aligned with Alluma’s mission.
  • Partner with Alluma’s Special Project Manager in the grant application process, including establishing financial budgets.
  • Produce modifications on grant amendments due to changes in business requirements.
  • Establish a sustainable process for financial grant management of over 30 funding streams, including County, State, and Federal funds.
  • Collaborate and build relationships with grant administrators to ensure proper use, timing, and accounting of grant awards.
  • Develop and distribute financial reporting for grant administrators.
  • Complete and submit reporting according to grant requirements using multiple reporting platforms in a timely manner.
  • Accurately and timely prepare billings to grantors.
  • Manage compliance standards per government regulations.
  • Analyze processes, provide enhancements to grant programs, and manage processes according to policies and procedures.
  • Track and monitor annual revenue goals for grants to provide financial updates and recommendations for annual budget development.
• Financial Projects (35%)
  • Lead and/or support financial projects that drive efficiency and sustainability for Alluma.
  • Optimize financial platforms and develop financial policies.
  • Support the Alluma Foundation and program analysis.
  • Support annual financial projects of Alluma, including external audits and budgeting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
• 7+ years of finance/accounting experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience beneficial.
• Must pass a criminal background check through the MN DHS NetStudy.
• Access to a personal vehicle and the ability and willingness to use it for position responsibilities.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable under the agency’s automobile insurance policy.
• Free from substance use problems for a period of no less than 2 years.
