Essential Duties
- Identifies, researches, and pursues federal, state, local, corporate, foundation, competitive, and entitlement grant opportunities aligned with district priorities and strategic goals.
- Develops, writes, coordinates, and submits grant applications and proposals on behalf of the district and provides technical assistance to schools and departments seeking external funding.
- Manages awarded grants by monitoring implementation, expenditures, timelines, compliance requirements, performance measures, and reporting obligations.
- Collaborates with the Finance Department and program leaders to develop grant budgets, monitor fiscal accountability, and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
- Collects, analyzes, and reports grant-related outcome data to demonstrate impact, support sustainability efforts, and fulfill funding agency reporting requirements.
- Buils and maintains relationships with funding agencies, philanthropic organizations, business and industry partners, community organizations, higher education institutions, and the Horry County Schools Foundation.
- Provides professional learning, technical assistance, and resources to district and school personnel regarding grant development, grant management, funding opportunities, and grant compliance.
- Collaborates with district departments, schools, community agencies, higher education institutions, and external partners to support research initiatives, resource development, strategic planning, and data-informed decision-making.

Perform other duties and assume other responsibilities as assigned the Executive Director of Accountability
Job Specifications
- Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required)
- Bachelor's degree in education, business administration or acceptable equivalent
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related field
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively with community, school and district staff members in a team environment
- Ability to utilize effectively various computer technology, including but not limited to database management, word processing, report generation and program merging
- Knowledge of basic fundraising techniques and strategies
Physical Requirements
- Physically capable of frequently lifting or moving up to 40 pounds
- Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
- Manual dexterity for the purpose of using a telephone and data entry
- Read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids
- Hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone
- Speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone
