Key responsibilities
- Lead institutional grant proposal development and management, partnering with faculty, staff, and leadership to align funding opportunities with strategic priorities.
- Evaluate funding opportunities, assess risk, and strengthen the College's competitiveness for external funding.
- Serve as the College's Authorized Organizational Representative (AOR), managing grant submissions and acting as the primary liaison with federal and state funding agencies.
- Guide Principal Investigators through the grant lifecycle, providing consultation on proposal development, funding opportunities, sponsor requirements, and award management.
- Develop and deliver grant-related training, resources, policies, and procedures to support compliance and build institutional grant-writing capacity.
- Ensure compliance with sponsor and regulatory requirements while supporting effective grant administration and stewardship.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Advanced knowledge of federal and state grant regulations.
- Advanced knowledge of grant development, proposal writing, and budgeting principles.
- Skill in data analysis and interpretation.
- Skill in analyzing grant funding opportunities.
- Ability to design and execute training related to grant management and development.
- Ability to prioritize and manage workloads to ensure timely completion of assignments, adherence to deadlines, and effective workflow distribution.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required. An associate’s degree may be considered with equivalent additional relevant work experience.
- 4-6+ years of relevant, professional, and progressive work experience.
- Experience developing, writing, and submitting large federal and private grants from a variety of federal and private agencies.
- While not required, experience in higher education grant proposal writing/office of sponsored programs a plus.
