Grants Accountant/Revenue Specialist

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage the financial aspects of grant financial audits and site visits as needed.
  • Aid with time and effort reporting and compliance with grants and contracts.
  • Create grant budgets and budget revisions with team input.
  • Keep grant tracking documents updated monthly.
  • Prepare and submit monthly/quarterly government grant reports and vouchers.
  • Prepare and maintain supporting documentation and submit financial reports promptly.
  • Maintain accurate financial records of accounts receivable and pledges, and prepare monthly schedules.
  • Manage receivables and collaborate with the CFOO and Development to enhance timely cash collections.
  • Aid in monthly accounting close as needed.
  • Affix weekly posting of cash and pledges between Blackbaud Raisers Edge and Financial Edge.
  • Conduct monthly revenue reconciliation with the Development department to match Financial Edge data with Raisers Edge data.
  • Aid in annual budget and annual audit preparation as needed.
  • Serve as back-up for the Accounting & Grants Manager as needed.
  • Participate in local networking and training opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree is required with a minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting.
  • Good oral and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems, particularly Blackbaud Raisers Edge and Financial Edge, is essential.
  • Experience with Government Grants is beneficial.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
