Essential Functions
- Manage financial administration of government, foundation, and corporate grants/contracts from pre-award through closeout.
- Monitor fiscal compliance, review budgets, and prepare grant financial reports.
- Screens and processes requests for expenditures and ensures the timely application for reimbursement from the state and federal government.
- Ensure accurate allocation of expenses, compliance with Uniform Guidance and funder requirements, and timely billings/draws.
- Collaborate with Development and Program staff to develop proposal budgets and provide financial guidance.
- Partner with Development to monitor funding and do weekly/monthly reconciliation.
- Coordinate and support funder monitoring visits and special audits.
- Partner with the Director of Finance full-cycle accounting including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations (payroll, prepaid, accrued liabilities, fixed assets, etc.).
- Support monthly and year-end closing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Aid in preparation for annual financial statement and compliance audits.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
- Participates in finance/accounting projects and ad hoc reports as assigned by CFO.
- Work with the Finance team on tasks as needed to ensure strong internal control and separation of duties.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required.
- Five (5) + years of related accounting and finance experience, knowledge of non-profit accounting is preferred.
- Experienced systems knowledge including accounting and payroll system applications; strong knowledge of accounting applications, Excel spreadsheets, preferred knowledge of ACUMATICA and Paycom systems.
- Professional demeanor and positive customer service orientation.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to clearly disseminate financial information with an understandable approach; logical.
- Respond effectively to sensitive and confidential information.
- Attention to detail and follow-through.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects.

Salary
$77,000-$85,000/yr.
