GRANT - UPK Lead Teacher - Pre-K

We are seeking a passionate Grant-UPK Lead Teacher (Pre-K) to join our team of kind, caring educators. This role is ideal for someone with a love of children and prior experience in childcare, daycare, or early childhood education.

Responsibilities

• Document and share with parents the important milestones in a child’s day.
• Collaborate with other teachers and leaders to implement an engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Respect and observe children’s interests, intervening when needed to maintain safety and enhance play with language, toys, and activities.
• Encourage and model social behaviors and expectations that are developmentally appropriate.
• Contribute to planning a balanced daily schedule that includes quiet/active, indoor/outdoor, and fine/gross motor activities.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• NYS Certification and compliance with all state preschool lead teacher requirements.
• High level of flexibility and willingness to work within business hours.
• Willingness to work in a 12-month program.
• Previous experience as a preschool lead teacher.
• Demonstrated classroom management skills.
