We are seeking a passionate Grant-UPK Lead Teacher (Pre-K) to join our team of kind, caring educators. This role is ideal for someone with a love of children and prior experience in childcare, daycare, or early childhood education.
About the Role
As a Preschool Lead Teacher, you will embrace Cadence Education’s philosophy and collaborate with the teaching team to foster a positive learning environment for all children in the center. Responsibilities
- Document and share with parents the important milestones in a child’s day.
- Collaborate with other teachers and leaders to implement an engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum.
- Respect and observe children’s interests, intervening when needed to maintain safety and enhance play with language, toys, and activities.
- Encourage and model social behaviors and expectations that are developmentally appropriate.
- Contribute to planning a balanced daily schedule that includes quiet/active, indoor/outdoor, and fine/gross motor activities.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- NYS Certification and compliance with all state preschool lead teacher requirements.
- High level of flexibility and willingness to work within business hours.
- Willingness to work in a 12-month program.
- Previous experience as a preschool lead teacher.
- Demonstrated classroom management skills.
