GRANT - PreK Teacher

About the Role

We are seeking a Preschool Teacher to bring your love of children and past experience in childcare, daycare, or early childhood education to our team. You’ll embrace the philosophy of Cadence Education, collaborate with other passionate teachers and leaders, and implement an engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum in a home-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Encourage and maintain a positive learning environment for all children within the center.
• Document and share with parents the important milestones in a child’s day.
• Collaborate with other preschool teachers and leaders to implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Respect and observe children's interests, intervening when needed to maintain safety.
• Enhance children's play with language, toys, and activities.
• Model and encourage social behavior and expectations that are developmentally appropriate.
• Contribute to planning a daily schedule that balances quiet/active, indoor/outdoor, fine/gross motor activities, etc.

Requirements

• High level of flexibility and willingness to work within business hours.
• Minimum of 6 months previous experience as a preschool teacher or in a licensed daycare.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) or college degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
