About the role

A non-profit is seeking a Grant Manager with grant administrator experience. The role involves working with state agencies and county behavioral health departments, navigating contracting, grant management, procurement, and fiscal requirements with integrity and compliance. Experience managing subcontractors or subrecipients and developing systems and processes to support the effective oversight of grants awarded to a diverse range of organizations is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Managing awarded grants, monitoring compliance with grantor guidelines, and ensuring proper utilization of funds.
  • Developing and managing budgets for grant proposals and monitoring organizational spending to align with grant requirements.
  • Managing subcontractors or subrecipients and developing systems and processes to support the effective oversight of grants awarded to a diverse range of organizations.
  • Preparing reports for funders, ensuring adherence to all grant specifications, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Working closely with finance, program, and development teams, providing guidance and training to staff involved in grant processes, and sometimes supervising grant-related staff.
  • Serving as a liaison between the organization and funders, convening grantees, and supporting statewide initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Education, Psychology, Social Work, Public Health) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of three years prior experience managing grants in a public behavioral health system, community-based organization, or governmental entity.
  • Strong research, writing, organizational, and financial management skills; attention to detail; ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines; excellent oral and written communication.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
