About the role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Grant Coordinator to support grant accounting and fund administration activities in Seattle, Washington. This Long-term Contract position will focus on maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing grant-related transactions, and helping ensure compliance with government funding requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage the financial administration of grants by tracking expenditures, reviewing funding activity, and maintaining accurate supporting documentation.
- Reconcile grant accounts and fund balances to ensure transactions are recorded properly and align with reporting requirements.
- Prepare and review financial reports related to government-funded programs, including schedules that support net asset value and fund-level analysis.
- Monitor grant budgets and spending patterns to help identify variances, resolve discrepancies, and support compliance with award terms.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather financial data, clarify grant restrictions, and support timely submission of required reports.
- Maintain records within Abila MIP and use the system to support account review, reporting accuracy, and audit readiness.
- Assist with fund administration processes by organizing financial activity across multiple grants and ensuring documentation is complete and current.
Requirements
- Experience in grant management and grant accounting, preferably in environments supported by government funding.
- Knowledge of fund administration principles and the ability to manage restricted and program-based funding accurately.
- Familiarity with net asset value reporting and fund-level financial reconciliation.
- Hands-on experience using Abila MIP for financial tracking, reporting, or account maintenance.
- Strong understanding of government grant compliance requirements, documentation standards, and financial controls.
- Proficiency in reviewing financial data, identifying inconsistencies, and resolving account discrepancies.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and reporting obligations.
