Key Responsibilities
- Manage the financial administration of government and restricted grants from award through final closeout.
- Prepare reimbursement requests, grant billings, and supporting documentation in accordance with funder requirements.
- Reconcile grant revenue, receivables, expenditures, and other balance sheet accounts to the general ledger.
- Monitor grant budgets, analyze budget-to-actual activity, and communicate variances to program leadership.
- Prepare journal entries related to grant activity and assist with month-end and year-end close.
- Partner with Program Managers to review spending, resolve discrepancies, and ensure grant compliance.
- Maintain complete and organized electronic grant documentation for audits and reporting.
- Afford assistance with grant audits, financial reporting, and other accounting projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of accounting experience, including government or nonprofit grant accounting.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and grant compliance.
- Experience preparing grant billings, reconciliations, and budget-to-actual analyses.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting systems; NetSuite experience is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Pay
Compensation: $25-27/hr
