About the Role

Schedules surgical procedures for Grand Teton Surgical Center and maintains the EMR system. Ensures patient information is collected and entered accurately into the computer system, and that all patients are aware of Grand Teton Surgical Center policies and procedures. Answers phones, provides answers to basic questions, processes incoming and outgoing faxes and correspondence, collects applicable payments, issues receipts, and ensures payments are processed accordingly.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Maintain BLS certification
  • One to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Skills

  • Ability to use hospital information systems and operate basic computer functions and software
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
  • General math skills
  • Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work well with others
