Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests following department greeting and steps of service.
- Manage reservations, including calling and confirming upcoming reservations.
- Oversee the waitlist by providing accurate wait time estimates.
- Address guest inquiries and handle complaints or concerns professionally.
- Process payments via cash, credit cards, room charges, and comp slips; verify validity, make change, and balance transactions.
- Make deposits/cash drops, complete cashier paperwork/reports, balance and secure the bank.
- Communicate special requests with management, service staff, and culinary team.
- Assist in turning tables quickly by resetting them efficiently.
- Take and pack to-go orders with required condiments.
- Uphold Grand Sierra Resort guest service guidelines and other policies and procedures.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 16 years.
- Flexible availability to work all shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends as business needs dictate.
- Previous cashiering experience preferred, or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

- Tactful and respectful interaction with guests and team members.
- Basic reading, math, writing, and task completion skills.
- Coordination, supervising, following instructions, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making.
Physical Demands
The team member is constantly standing, frequently walking and balancing, and occasionally bending over during shifts. Must occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 10 lbs. Requires constant repetitive use of both hands and occasional light or firm grasping motions. Constant use of vision abilities, including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.
Work Environment
Work is performed indoors, alone or frequently with others. Involves face-to-face interactions, extended shifts around computer equipment and mechanical devices. Moderate noise levels, with potential exposure to slippery surfaces, fumes/odor, and secondhand smoke.
