About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Café Server to join our dynamic team and contribute to the exceptional guest experience we're known for. As a Café Server, it will be your responsibility to tailor the café experience to each guest by providing food and beverage service in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner, resulting in a superior level of guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain daily specials and promotions.
• Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Retrieve, verify, and deliver food and beverage orders while ensuring accuracy and presentation standards.
• Replenish beverages and regularly check on guests to ensure overall satisfaction.
• Present checks promptly, collect payment, and invite guests to return.
• Assist with clearing and resetting tables as needed.
• Complete side work and cleaning tasks including restocking service areas, condiments, and supplies.
• Follow all state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to alcohol service.
• Maintain self-banking procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.

Requirements

• Prior hospitality or customer service experience required.
• Previous food and beverage and cash handling experience preferred.
• Innate desire to serve and ability to maintain service and departmental standards.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
• Ability to learn table settings, service ware, menu items, and restaurant promotions.
• Proficient in English for menu comprehension, recording orders, and guest communication.
• Ability to promote menu items and provide recommendations to guests.
• Ability to operate a POS system and accurately process guest transactions.
• Ability to carry food and beverage trays weighing up to 30 pounds in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain a professional demeanor, positive attitude, and clean uniform.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of basic food and beverage service procedures.

Pay Rate: $7.46 (tipped position)
