Grain Elevator Operator - 3rd Shift

As a Savage company, Bartlett is a leading exporter of grain to Mexico and supplies flour to many popular brands. The position is located in Council Bluffs, IA.

Responsibilities

• Grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending, and loading
• Monitoring stored grain condition
• Maintaining and cleaning grain facilities and equipment to provide a safe environment
• Operate various grain handling equipment, mainly conveyors and legs
• Handle bulk commodities such as wheat, corn, soybeans, etc.
• Cross‑training to perform a variety of tasks

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
• Available to work overtime and weekends
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, verbal communications)
• Able to pass a criminal background check

Physical requirements

• Job can be physically strenuous
• Work in tight and confined spaces
• Work at heights
• Frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 lb and occasionally more
• Ascend/descend ladders
• Wear required PPE

Pay

$23.00 per hour and up

Schedule

3rd shift, 11 pm to 7 am, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed, including weekends.
