Graduate Assistants will assist the Floor Engineer with the operations of the I-HACK Makerspace and collaboration with CEB Senior Design Projects.
Responsibilities
- Conduct experiments accurately and promptly
- Maintain, calibrate, and operate laboratory instruments
- Assist in the setup and use of new lab equipment
- Prepare experiments, set up and assist faculty with laboratory classes
- Enter, clean, and analyze data using Excel spreadsheets and applicable statistical programs
- Understand and practice lab safety protocols
- Coordinate meetings, manage calendars, and take minutes at meetings
- Collaborate with undergraduate students on research and class projects
- Assist in responsibilities regarding Makerspace
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope, responsibility, and requirements of the position

Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in an appropriate engineering/business field
- Full-time enrollment in a Master of CEB program

- Technical trade skills
- Manufacturing experience
- Working engineering skills
- Practical OSHA knowledge
- Leadership skills
Physical Demands
- Able to work in a busy laboratory environment
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Schedule
- Position Length: 9 months
- Hours per Week: 10
- Work Schedule: Office hours, depending on candidate's schedule
