About the role
The Radiologic Technologist – New Graduate is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging exams in a fast-paced outpatient setting, collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Maintain ARRT or modality-specific competency in clinical and technical functions.
- Verify patient identification, prepare patients, and perform imaging exams per protocols.
- Review images for quality and accuracy, adhering to radiation safety standards.
- Assist and instruct colleagues and students on exam procedures and equipment use.
- Provide patient education, promote comfort, and address concerns professionally.
- Operate imaging equipment and documentation systems accurately.
- Ensure infection control, proper documentation, and compliance with protocols.
Qualifications
- ARRT (R) certification and state licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, image quality troubleshooting, and equipment operation.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and task prioritization skills.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment and maintain a safe workspace.
Physical & Other Requirements
- Manual dexterity for equipment manipulation and patient handling.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist with patient transfers and equipment movement.
- Frequent verbal communication and quick comprehension in emergency situations.
