Graduate Program Administrator - College of Education
About the role
Responsible for the administration of graduate student program recruitment, admissions, academic advising, and student retention. May supervise staff and student workers.
Responsibilities
- Develops and administers graduate student programs and processes including recruitment efforts, admission processes, academic advising, and student retention.
- Develops and implements marketing and recruitment strategies to attract and retain qualified graduate students.
- Counsels students and faculty members in areas such as recruitment, admission, academics, progress towards degree, completion rates, professional development, and career preparation.
- Administers, interprets, and communicates policies and procedures to students, faculty, and staff.
- Serves as Graduate School liaison to faculty, administrators, and students.
- Administers scholarship and fellowship programs and processes.
- Reviews graduate program budgets and makes decisions on appropriate expenditures.
- May provide training sessions and presentations to graduate students.
Qualifications
Will be considered in lieu of education. Education will be considered in lieu of experience. MQ: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.
