About the role
Join a transitional care unit as a Practical Nurse, providing patient-centered care under RN supervision.
Responsibilities
- Perform delegated practical nursing tasks within scope and competence.
- Contribute to comprehensive patient assessments across biophysical, psychosocial, spiritual, cultural, and age-related domains.
- Administer medications, monitor for adverse reactions, and educate patients and families about treatment plans and post-discharge care.
- Complete accurate documentation and meet competency requirements.
- Seek guidance as needed and adhere to professional nursing standards and ethics.
- Maintain safety and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
- Eligibility to practice as determined by the State Board of Nursing.
- No prior experience required.
- Current BLS certification.
- For certain states, passing or future eligibility for NCLEX for LPNs and appropriate state licenses or permits.
Physical and skill requirements
- Constant use of communication, standing, walking, and vision.
- Frequent lifting, sitting, reaching, and data entry.
- Occasional patient handling and movement.
- Ability to operate in a safe, alert manner.
Schedule
Night shift, full-time.
