Role Overview
The Graduate Nurse provides direct patient care in an orthopedic care unit specializing in limb salvage, minimally invasive injury treatments, complex deformity repairs, and trauma interventions. They assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, promoting safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication use.
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs using critical nursing skills.
- Develop and adjust individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Participate in activities that enhance patient safety, quality, and compliance.
- Engage in professional development to improve skills and knowledge.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduated from an accredited nursing program; licensure required within 90 days of graduation.
- Educational background includes a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree; Bachelor's preferred.
- No prior experience necessary, with opportunities for growth.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
