About the Role

The Graduate Nurse (GN) is responsible for providing nursing care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse (RN). The GN applies the nursing process and performs delegated functions in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and hospital policies.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (AA, BSN, or MSN).
• Must be in pursuit of licensure as a registered nurse.
• Must take the NCLEX exam within 90 days of hire.
• May not continue practicing as a GN if the NCLEX is failed.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications as required.

Qualifications

This role is designed for new graduate nurses who have completed an accredited nursing program and are preparing for RN licensure.
