About the Role
The Graduate Nurse position offers a transitional role for new graduates preparing to become Registered Nurses. This role provides clinical learning opportunities by familiarizing nurses with procedures, disease processes, and the hospital environment while interacting with healthcare providers.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with patients and families to support recovery
- Collaborate with healthcare teams for coordinated care
- Assist in delivering direct patient care when needed
- Participate in a structured curriculum to develop skills and confidence
- Provide direct patient care aligned with training and competency
- Assist RNs with care activities
- Promote patient satisfaction and outcomes
Requirements
- CPR certification required
- Completion of RN program and eligibility to sit for NCLEX
- Must take NCLEX within six months of being granted Graduate Nurse status
