Responsibilities
- Participating in outreach to current students regarding enrollment for the upcoming school year through phone calls, mailings, and other communication channels.
- Connecting with prospective students to share a graduate’s perspective and personal experience with the Ombudsman Options Schools program.
- Scheduling intake appointments and supporting coordination efforts for campus Outreach Specialists.
- Representing Ombudsman at outreach and community events by sharing program experiences and answering questions from prospective students and families.
- Distributing program materials in designated communities surrounding Ombudsman Arizona Schools under the supervision of Outreach Specialist staff.
- Supporting campus retention initiatives by contacting students with excessive absences, participating in home visits with staff, and assisting with additional engagement activities as directed by the supervising principal.
- Assisting with planning and facilitation of New Student Orientation events.
- Encouraging student participation in academic programs and campus events that strengthen the student community and support the school’s mission.
- Communicating professionally with students, families, and community partners to foster positive relationships.
- Supporting outreach initiatives by helping staff tabling events and representing Ombudsman at fairs, local high school nights, festivals, and other community or partner events.
- Adhering to all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Demonstrating professionalism and positive conduct that reflects the values and reputation of the Ombudsman program.
- Responding constructively to formal and informal feedback to support personal and professional development.
- Collaborating effectively with school staff to support campus goals and student success.
Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an Arizona Ombudsman Educational Services program.
- Hold currently or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Ability to obtain and maintain certification in company approved crisis management training.
- Highly proficient in reading, writing, analyzing and interpreting detailed reports and business correspondence.
- Knowledgeable in program management and/or development and working with databases and/or spreadsheets.
- Prior proven ability to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining organization and attention to detail.
- Demonstrates self-confidence, takes initiative and adapts easily to changing priorities or unforeseen circumstances.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of staff members, students, parents, and the public.
- Embraces feedback, continuous learning and is committed to ongoing self-improvement.
- Advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision-making ability.
- Well-versed in the use of relevant technology including experience with computers, Microsoft Office Suite, database entry and basic office equipment.
