About the role
Performs entry-level professional engineering work including developmental assignments involving the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out routine engineering tasks under close supervision.
Responsibilities
- Designs specific system components for the overall design effort.
- Performs design calculations, prepares equipment or material specifications, and provides direction to technical support or drafting personnel.
- Investigates a limited number of variables; supervisory assistance is provided on unusual problems and possible solutions.
- Determines additional information needed from internal clients and coordinates directly with LJA.
- Makes basic decisions regarding alternative procedures when information is not given.
- Applies prescribed methods to complete limited and specific portions of broader assignments from experienced engineers.
- Adjusts and correlates data, recognizing discrepancies in results and following operations through related detailed steps or processes.
- Exercises limited judgment in making preliminary method selections and adopting alternatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is required.
- Certified Engineer-in-Training.
- 4+ years of post-graduate experience or a master’s degree and 1-3 years of post-master’s experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships.
