About the role
The Graduate Engineer II position at Halff is located in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is ideal for individuals with 4 to 7 years of experience in public works, municipal roadway, drainage, detention, water/wastewater utility design, and/or utilities design.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the design and construction of public and private infrastructure projects, including roadways, drainage systems, water and wastewater pipelines, civil site work, and associated civil improvements in land development as well as public parks and trails facilities.
- Manage design and plan production as well as manage clients and supervise technical staff through workshare opportunities with various practices and offices at Halff.
- Have a large amount of autonomy in managing other professional engineers, engineers-in-training, and CAD designers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
- PE License in Atlanta or ability to obtain within 6 months
- At least 4 to 7 years of experience in public works, municipal roadway, drainage, detention, water/wastewater utility design, and/or utilities design
- Strong design experience and project manager skills
- AutoCAD Civil 3D CAD experience preferred
- Good technical writing and communication skills
- Proficient in project management, administration and supervision
- Ability to work in a team environment with multiple offices and various disciplines
- A positive attitude, be self-directed yet a team player, and have a focus on quality, integrity and success
- Willingness to develop a network of municipal clients and teaming partners
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
