Graduate Engineer - Construction Engineering

About the role
We seek a well-prepared graduate from a top engineering school to join our Construction Engineering Services team, a specialized group within the Structures Group. In this role, you will work on projects for contractors, steel fabricators, erectors, and similar clients. You will support your Project Manager by analyzing and validating structures at various construction stages, developing construction sequencing for complex structures, designing temporary structures, and performing steel connection design.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and validate structures at different stages of construction
- Develop construction sequencing for complex structures
- Perform analysis and design of temporary structures to support construction
- Design steel connections
- Participate on project design teams for architectural projects across sectors, including commercial, sports, aviation, healthcare, education, and cultural buildings
- Engage in our industry-leading staff development program, MOORELearning
Requirements
- Master’s in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering
- EIT certification
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated strength in steel design, steel connection design, and structural analysis
- Experience with SAP 2000 modeling
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Experience with Tekla and Building Information Modeling (BIM)
- Work experience or internships with contractors, steel fabricators, or steel erectors
